As an actor, Noah brings to his work passion, curiosity and experience in movement, music, improvisation and new play creation/development. Favorite acting credits include roles in Horseshoes and Hand Grenades’ Jessie-award winning production of You Are Here, Radix Theatre’s SexMachine, Vancouver Moving Theatre's Hot Music, Cool Tales, Headlines Theatre's Thir$ty and Rumble/Tangled Tongues' Foreign Bodies, as well as several appearances in staged readings with Savage God, and performances in Theatre Under the Gun. Upcoming projects include playing Dickon in Western Canada Theatre’s The Secret Garden, and performing in the Chutzpah Festival’s workshop production of Unkind Music, a new Jewish musical Noah is currently co-writing with Josh Epstein. Noah is a graduate of Simon Fraser University’s School For the Contemporary Arts. In the seven years since graduating with both a BFA in Theatre and a BA in Music Composition and English from Simon Fraser University, Noah has become one of Vancouver's busiest and most respected sound designers. He has collaborated with many of Canada’s finest theatre, dance and new music artists and organizations, and has been honored with five Jessie Richardson Awards (16 total nominations). Named by The Georgia Straight as one of the rising stars of Vancouver's scene, Noah’s music and sound have been heard throughout BC, across Canada, and in Colorado. Recently, Noah has worked with such companies as Theatre Replacement, The National Arts Centre, The Vancouver Playhouse, Rumble Productions (with whom he is an Associated Artist), CBC Radio, Theatre Newfoundland Labrador, Bard on the Beach, The Arts Club and The Yukon Arts Centre.As a director, writer and dramaturge, Noah’s passion is collaboration. He has written several plays, including Foreign Bodies (co-written with Adrienne Wong, produced by Rumble/Tangled Tongues) and About Words About Words (a short play that has been presented over a dozen times throughout Vancouver). Noah has also written/directed for dance-theatre hybrid companies, such as the Yukon’s WET Theatre and Vancouver’s Gambling Soles, and directed/coached storytellers Melanie Ray and Margaret Murphy for several evening-length stories.He co-founded and was for several years a co-artistic director of two thriving theatre companies: Tempest In a Teacup Productions and Tangled Tongues Performance. Upcoming projects include co-writing (with Josh Epstein) Unkind Music, a new Jewish musical that will have a workshop production as part of the ’06 Chutzpah! Festival in Vancouver.
